Twenty years ago, every sewer repair in Los Angeles meant a backhoe in the yard. Today, trenchless methods can fix 80% of what we see — with two small access pits and no trenching between. We run both CIPP (cured-in-place pipe) lining and pipe bursting, choose based on your actual pipe condition, and hand you the permit and inspection paperwork when we're done.
What's Included
CIPP Pipe Lining
An epoxy-saturated felt liner is pulled through the existing pipe, inflated, and cured in place. Creates a new, seamless pipe within the old one. Ideal for cracked-but-intact lines.
Pipe Bursting
For fully collapsed or offset lines, a bursting head pulls new HDPE pipe through while fragmenting the old one outward. Two pits, no trench, larger-diameter replacement possible.
Spot Lining for Isolated Breaks
When only a short section is damaged, a spot liner cures in a 3–6 foot segment. Cheaper than a full lining; preserves the rest of the line.
Clean-Out Installation
If your home lacks an accessible clean-out, we install one at the property line — required for trenchless access and essential for future service.
Permit & Final Inspection
City of LA, Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena — we pull the permit, schedule the inspection, and handle any corrections. Clean paperwork for escrow or resale.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my pipe a candidate for trenchless repair?
Most LA residential sewer laterals (4-inch clay, cast iron, or ABS) qualify. Disqualifiers: severe bellies (sagged sections), total collapse of long sections, or non-circular pipe shapes. A camera inspection confirms eligibility in 30 minutes.
How does the cost compare to traditional excavation?
Trenchless typically costs 20–40% more per foot than open-cut. BUT: you save on landscaping restoration, hardscape removal, and tree replacement. Net cost is usually lower when the line runs under anything substantial.
How long does the liner last?
Manufacturer warranties are 50 years. In practice, a properly installed epoxy liner will outlast the next owner.
Will my bathroom be out of service?
For 4–8 hours during the actual lining/bursting. We schedule around your day so no one is stuck at home with no plumbing.
Is trenchless work permitted in Los Angeles?
Yes — LADBS and surrounding jurisdictions have approved both CIPP lining and pipe bursting for years. We pull the permit; you get the signed inspection card.
